Man charged following theft

A man has been charged after more than £300-worth of goods were stolen from stores across Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Ryan Gaitley, 29, of no fixed address, has been charged with nine counts of theft from a shop.

It comes following a series of thefts from Co-op, B&M and One Stop between Sunday 20 July and Sunday 24 August.

Gaitley has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Thursday 28 August).
